Welcome to UNITED PARENTS AGAINST LEAD
NATIONAL OUR MISSION: To end the continuing
threat of lead poisoning and environmental hazards
through intervention, education, advocacy and resource
referral.

All of us who are advocates for healthy homes and an overall healthy
environment I ask that you please sign my petition at change.org. It is asking Virginia's Governor Robert McDonnell to reinstate mold regulation
which is scheduled to end on July 1, 2012. With the deregulation anyone
will be allowed to inspect and remediate mold hazards without any training, any certifications and without being licensed. This can create undue
exposure to occupants of the homes and to the workers themselves. Please
support this effort. I have mailed a letter to the governor which follows
the link to the petition. Thanks for your support.

It'll just take a minute!
Once you're done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well.
Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread
the word!
Director's Comments
As Founder and National Director of United Parents
Against Lead (UPAL) I'd like to take this opportunity to
thank all of our supporters and sponsors who have made
UPAL a 10 year success story. UPAL has endured and
triumphed over many barriers and obstacles both personal
and external. We have exceeded our targeted enrollment
of 100 residential units scheduled to undergo lead
hazard remediation. Our team of experts truly rose
to the task of "Getting the Lead Out". To them I am ever
grateful and extend a heart filled thanks for their hard
work, dedication, commitment and persistence.
Without you UPAL would not have been successful in the
implementation of HUD's Lead Elimination Action Program.
It has truly been a LEAP of faith. We look forward
to serving our communities over the next 10 years.
UPAL thanks all participants, supporters, sponsors and
awardees for making the Purple Ball a huge success.
